Take a look around the

individual churches and
details about the locality

Situated along the Cuckmere River, the villages and churches of the unspoilt Cuckmere Valley go back to medieval times and beyond. Many houses and pubs have been standing for centuries.

The parish churches are all more than 600 years old and show wonderful examples of Norman and Early English architecture. Each is unique in its own way: St. Andrew's, for example, is known as the 'Cathedral of the South Downs' and Lullington Church up on the hill is the smallest parish church in Sussex, possibly in England.

The parishes form a single Benefice and often work with the United Reformed Church for special services and study groups, and to produce this Web site.
